I can't believe that it is already December. Christmas is almost here and then it will be 2013! Wow! I can't even rap my mind around that. I know that it has been a long time since my last post, so sorry! We are all moved into our new house. We love Roseville, and the surrounding cities! Kids have been keeping us very busy with school and gymnastics. Meghan and Hannah are doing traditional gymnastics and Nicholas is doing urban gymnastics. He is flipping over things, running up walls, and getting to do fun things that little boys like! I have seen a huge improvement in his agility. Meghan is a superstar! He has picked it up so fast! She is very flexible and has no fear! Hannah is...well, 3! : ) Her class is more or less lets dance to music and do somersaults and jump on the trampoline. I will post some pictures soon of them doing their new skills!
We are really looking forward to Christmas this year. With the kids getting older we have been able to do things that really get you in the spirit of Christmas. We were able to purchase Christmas presents for children that are in the foster-care system in Sacramento. We received the names of a 13 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. It really was a great experience and we are looking forward to doing it in the years to come!
I was also able to work with a local food bank and the members of my church to put together Thanksgiving dinner boxes to give to needy families. The boxes were filled with potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans, yams and marshmallows, rolls, jello, olives, corn, pie crust and pie filling. The boxes were stuffed full and I was able to collect enough item to make 26! I was blown away by the generosity of the church members. The kids went with me to deliver the food to the food bank and it was a great way to talk more about serving other!
Halloween was our first holiday all alone! : ( I have to admit it was a little sad but we had lots of candy to make us feel better. We went trick or treating around the neighborhood and came home and ate some chili, doughnuts and apple cider. At the end of the night I traded the kids 10 cents per piece of candy. They each made a few bucks and kept a few to snack on.
There has been a lot more going on and I have pictures to prove it... I will have to dig them out and post them soon! I hope all my friends and family have a great holiday! Love ya!
