Today the kids (and myself) got an early Christmas present!  Meet Charlie, she is an 8 week black and silver miniature schnauzer.  She has a great temperament.  She loves to play and loves to snuggle.  I am not sure who is more excited, the kids or myself!

Of course, Hannah had to put the parmesan cheese on her spaghetti all by herself and ended up with way too much!

Church Christmas Dinner

Last Friday night, our church had a Christmas dinner.  It was a nice evening full of food and friends.  They had put together a beautiful program of Christ birth, I only wish I would have gotten pictures of the Nativity.  I was so beautiful!

The dinner was a pot lock and I had signed up to bring soup... While making my soup I dropped my huge 4cup Pyrex measuring cup on the counter and this happened...

Glass was EVERYWHERE!  All over the counter, floor, and myself.  It took forever to clean up!

She can do it herself!

So, this year I decided that it was time for the big kids to start making their own lunches for school.  What I forgot is that Hannah thinks she is a big kid too. So, when snack time rolled around she wanted a nutella sandwich.  She got down the bread, the nutella, and brought out the step stool.  I tired to help but was told, "I can do it myself!"  And so she did!  She even used the heal of the bread.  If I would have tried to give that to her she would have freaked, but since she did it herself I guess it was okay.  She was very proud of herself, it was too cute!

Hall/Toy closet

I am so embarrassed that I have let our hall/toy closet get so messy!  The kids hardly ever play with any other these toys anymore (probably because they cant find anything).  It has just become a major dumping ground and it is driving me crazy!  So, with Christmas approaching, I have decided that it is time to reorganize it! Here are the before pictures... (please don't laugh too hard, I know it is bad!)

Hopefully I will have it done by next week and I can post some after pictures.  Wish me luck!

Date night and Sugar Twist

So for date night tonight we went Christmas shopping.  I am happy to report that we are all done! Yeah!  Now comes the gift wrapping, my least favorite part.  Maybe if I start now I will only have to do a little at a time.  

After all our hard work shopping we decided to try out a new place.  It is called Sugar twist! I got a chocolate bar doughnut with peanut butter cups, white chocolate sauce and peanut butter sauce, YUMMY!!!  Steve got a glazed twist with chocolate sauce, Oreos, and peanut butter sauce.  Wow, it was so good!  But this is no place for lightweights.  Everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE MY SUGAR and this is some serious sugar! So, I think next time we might split one... Well, maybe not...

Crazy Hannah

 Yep, Hannah can be a little sneaky!  She pushed one of the bar stools across the kitchen and into the pantry to get herself a snack.  She always keeps me on my toes!

Busy, busy, busy!!!

Let see... What has happen since the last post...

• We went down to Anaheim for my niece's 2nd birthday!  Happy Birthday Mae! I did not get a picture of the birthday girl but here is one of me with two of my sisters.

• Nicholas got his expander put in.  He is doing amazing! We turn a little screw in it every night that make his jaw expand 1/4mm each time.  He has never complained once, I am so proud!
• Doughnuts with Dad!  Every year the kids get to take their Dad to school to have doughnuts before school starts, They love it!

• Meghan had her Kindergarten Feast to celebrate Thanksgiving! I was unable to make it but I am sure she looked adorable in her Indian costume.
• Our friends came to visit from Vegas.  We went to a late movie and then stayed up until 2am laughing and having a blast! They are so much fun! Then the next day we went up to visit at her parents house in Tehachapi.  Her mother is so amazing, the sweetest, kindest most thoughtful person ever! 

• Then we all became sick... YUCK!  I believe we are at the tail end of it now, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...

• Yea, for Thanksgiving!  We had a nice day, we started it off at my parents house.  Had some snacks and played at the park.  Then headed over to Steve's Dad's house for some delicious dinner.  I was a really nice day full of beautiful weather and family. We also went out and took some family pictures, which came out great!

Hannah is a typical 2 year old! She was done getting her picture taken so she ran off to play...

• We got our Christmas tree up and decorated and the lights up outside, so we are ready for Christmas now!

• Then today we got to celebrate Steve's Mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Diane!  It was another nice day full of fun, food, and family!

 

The Dentist... part 2

On Thursday we had another day full of dentist appointments! We started it all off with Meghan getting a little cavity filled.  They took her back and told us that it should take about 30 minutes.  They said that they like to go nice and slow so that they do not overwhelm them the first time.  Well, not 10 minutes later the dentist was back out telling us that they were all done!  Meghan did amazing!!! She was such a big helper and did not act bothered at all!!! YEAH!!!  So, after wards we took her to McDonald's to get a smoothie.  

Nicholas had an appointment later that day to get fitted for his expander.  He got to bite into clay, to make a mold of his mouth. They also doubled up on the spacers in between his teeth. He will get the full expander put in next Thursday.  

Step 1

The spacer is in! Can you see the tiny blue dot between his top teeth? I have been a nervous wreck all day. I was so afraid that this was going to be painful and make going to the orthodontist scary, but Nicholas did amazing! He walked right in, sat in the chair and did not flinch once when they were putting it in. We took him to get a milk shake afterwards and then to Target to spend his allowance. I hope Thursday goes as well as today. Meghan will get her cavity filled and Nicholas will get his impression made.

Plus side to Daylight Savings!

I found a plus side to daylight savings! I know most people say that it is the extra hour of sleep but my kids don't understand that concept... They still get up at the crack of dawn.  Well today we were ready for school by 7am (instead of 8am) so I took the kids to Jack in the Box for some breakfast. 

This is actually their second breakfast, since they were up at 4:50 this morning!

Another day of fun!

Steve and I decided that we needed to have another family fun day!  So we took the kids to John's Incredible pizza.  We had a great day! All you can eat pizza and games! (Sorry about the video posting twice, I don't know how to delete one of them)

I can't believe how big she is getting!

They have a new ride that Steve took Nicholas and Meghan on, it was awesome!

Nicholas was a little unsure about it... He did not want Steve to spin it at all...
