Charlie update

Charlie is doing really well!  She loves to play and to sit and sleep on your lap.  She got  hair cut this week and is looking even cuter now!

Trying new things...

So, we decided that we would try a new family activity today...  We went out to search for hidden treasure! We picked up a metal detector from Big 5, packed a lunch, and then headed out to the (dried up) Kern River bed.  We actually had a Blast!  The kids loved running around and digging holes and putting the dirt back in.  I was surprise that we found change!  Here are a few pictures we snap on our phones.  I realized today that kids can have fun doing anything and anything can be fun with kids!  I love my family, even if we are a bunch of nerds! : )

We may not find hidden treasure but I know that we are making great memories with our kids! And that is what really matters, Right!

Is that Blood?

Don't worry Hannah did not cut herself... She just colored her hands red!  Bright red!  She also got her foot!  The markers said that they were washable but I would beg to differ.  Hannah has had a red hue for two days now.

Also, I forgot to blog this.  A week or so ago, While we were waiting in the car for the kids to get out of school Hannah stuck an Altoid up her nose.  Luckily I remember the story of "the purple crayon" from when I was little, so I stuck a napkin up the other side and tried to make her sneeze.  Yep, She is definitely my child!

Saturday Fun

Today's weather is less then desirable, so I guess we will stay inside a build a fort!  The kids are having a blast!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Tonight was the long awaited Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Meghan has been looking forward to it for so long.  She looked so beautiful and grown up tonight!  I can't until they get home and I can hear all about it.

52 Things

For our anniversary this year I deiced to make Steve's present.  I found this idea on line and thought it was so great!  I really enjoyed working on it and love the finished product.  So did he!

 I used a deck of cards and wrote on each card something that I loved about him.  Here are a few that made the cut...

There is about 45 more reasons in the deck some silly and so gushy... I think it was the most fun to watch him go through them all!

9 YEARS!

Yep that is right, tomorrow is Steve and I's 9 year anniversary! It seems like we have been married forever but then at the same time I can't believe it has already been 9 years!  Do you ever have that feeling?  I feel so blessed to be married to such an amazing guy!  I can't wait until tomorrow, I have an awesome gift for him.  I have been dying to give it to him.  Anyone who knows me, know that I normally give presents early because I just can't wait.  I seriously feel like I am going to BURST!  One more day! YEA!  I will post pictures tomorrow...

Sweet little Meghan

Don't you love what she did with my hair.  When I asked why it was black and brown she sweetly pointed out that that is what my hair looks like.  I just it was time to get my hair done again.  Check out my new do.
